What the rate includes
- Tax
- Consumption tax is included in every price. Kyoto City accommodation tax (宿泊税) is not: it is paid at the house, per person per night, ¥200 for a room price under ¥6,000 per person, ¥400 from ¥6,000 to under ¥20,000, and ¥1,000 from ¥20,000 to under ¥50,000 (before consumption tax).
- Meals
- No breakfast service. The kitchen is yours, and there is a market two streets over.
- Cancellation
- Free to cancel until eight days before arrival. From seven days before, half the total is charged, the day itself included, and a no-show is charged in full.
- Payment
- Taken by the house. There is no agency fee.
